About Ricardo Carvalho

I grew up fascinated by how things work, which led me to study Electrical and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. After graduating, I joined Infinera as a Sales Engineer for three years, working with telecom operators and enterprise clients across Europe on DWDM optical networking solutions, translating complex technical capabilities into business value. In 2024, I moved to Madrid to pursue an MBA at IE Business School through the Venture Lab track focused on entrepreneurship. That’s where Metoria was born. What drives me is a simple belief: the best technology solves real problems for real people.
